Did Julian Assange LITERALLY spend every single day for the last 7 years inside the Ecuadorian Embassy?

Was it every hour of everyday? Did he never leave the building? Was he allowed to go outside on the grounds. I know an embassy is considered sovereign territory, but I'm just amazed that he might have been in a single building for 7 years.
