Sure, it looks aesthetically pleasing, but the following night you're just going to mess it up again! The only time people should really be expected to make up their bed is when (for some reason) you're having company over that wants to check out your bedroom. And even then I would argue that it's ridiculous that society expects you to straighten the thing that you sleep in every night.
There's nothing gained from it other than satisfaction, it's stupid.
