I watched the guy who just targeted me go after another girl, and this time I did something.

He stood the wrong way around in the crowded elevator and kept exhaling hard, and I kept seeing him looking over at me out of the corner of my eye. The vibe was that he was either angry or on drugs; as we exited the elevator he elbowed me out of the way -making significant physical contact - and kept looking back at me as we moved toward the platform. I'm a six-foot-tall woman with a confident stance, so it felt like he was looking for a fight. I avoided eye contact, made measured movements, and moved away from him first chance I could. I figured I'd seen the last of him as we boarded the tube, especially since I change lines in the middle of my commute.

But just as we pulled up to my destination a girl came moving all the way through the crowded carriage to get away from someone, and there he came following her. She was clearly distressed and the people around noticed something was off, but I was the only one there who would have recognized the guy.

As the doors opened I took her arm and told her to follow me, just with the intention to separate them and put her on the next train. Instead, he followed us off and kept moving into our personal space, not going away even after I stepped between them and told him to leave. That's when another older woman got involved and came along with us as we all went looking for staff to intervene, with him stumbling along behind us continuing to pursue his target. At this point it's clear he's on drugs - he clearly doesn't recognize me from earlier and isn't registering that other people are getting involved now.

We made it up to station staff (male) and informed them that the man who's still trying to get too close to us has been harassing women on the tube. It's finally at this point that he got spooked and ran off, through the barrier and disappearing out into the night. We weren't sure if it's because it was a uniform or a man who got through to him, but apparently three women saying 'no' wasn't enough to break through his haze.

I'm disappointed that the station staff wasn't able to detain him fast enough because now he's out there and probably picked another woman to go after, but I'm glad another woman was ballsy enough to join in and make us into an impromptu guard.

I don't know their names and I'll never see them again, but they're out there, and they're my wolf pack.
